The staff at Group One Builders provides complete in-house design and planning services. We pride ourselves on our creative,
yet practical approach to home design. Group One is experienced
in a myriad of architectural styles, and provides complete design services,
from conceptual analysis and preliminary design, through complete
3D modeling and rendering, virtual walk-throughs and construction drawing packages.

Conceptual design – from the initial “napkin
sketch”, through conceptual schematic design, design
development, specifications development and detailed, accurate
preliminary cost estimating, Group One works one-on-one
with you. The most important aspect of successful design
is communication -- this begins with listening to you, defining
and refining your goals and priorities, then thoughtfully blending
them with our experienced design sense. The goal is to create
an enduring design -- an artful balance that pleases
both one’s emotions and one’s intellect. A balance
between aesthetic beauty and proportion, light and space, consistency in
style, and the practical considerations of your everyday life and
budget. Utilizing a variety of tools, including the latest in three-dimensional CAD architectural design software, we have the means to guide and help you accurately visualize and refine your dream, beginning early in the design phase.
- Specification development – complete finish material
and product specifications and schedules, covering all interior
and exterior construction and finish details. Specifications are keyed to work phases and project budgets using industry standard CSI format, for accurate communication and exchange of information between the various parties involved in the project.
- Construction drawings – preparation of complete, detailed working
construction plans, including structural design and engineering,
plumbing and electrical systems design, interior and exterior
elevations and details, Title 24 energy calculations, grading
design, etc.
- Liaison
services – for application submittal to local permitting
agencies, architectural review committees, community associations,
lenders, utility companies, engineers and other consultants.
